Ma'ale Adumim () is an Israeli settlement and a city in the West Bank, seven kilometers () from Jerusalem.〔Unsettled Market, Jerusalem Post, In Jerusalem, May 13, 2011〕 Ma'ale Adumim achieved city status in 1991. The international community considers Israeli settlements in the West Bank illegal under international law, but the Israeli government disputes this.
